Green tea is rich in bioflavonoids, compounds that help fight damaging free radicals. ONe class of bioflavonoids, polyphenols, is especially abundant in this herb. Specifically, the catechins (polyphenols with multiple linked ring-like structures) have extraordinary antioxidant ability.
